LABOUR, EMPLOYMENT AND INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS

Our firm has cast a niche for itself as the first firm of choice in this area of the law relating to labour, employment and industrial relations. We have conducted litigations at all levels of courts in Nigeria in disputes between employers and employees, and between trade unions and employers of labour.  We have also handled and resolved inter and intra union disputes through the process of either arbitration or litigation.

Our firm has on its retainership several leading industrial unions including the central labour organization, to which we render advisory services from time to time and whose interests we represent and protect in the event of disputes.

We similarly render advisory services to a number of corporate entities which are on our retainership and also represent their interests in the event of disputes with their employees or the trade unions representing their respective interest.

We were involved in the processes that led to the enactment of the National Industrial Court Act, 2006 and the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (Third Alteration Act) 2010, by which the National Industrial Court of Nigeria was constitutionally recognised as a superior court of record in Nigeria.
